Brodee’s Afternoon HEADLINES:

The lineup for this year’s Global Citizen Fest has been announced and its jam packed plus a decision has been made regarding Katy Perry’s Dark Horse WAS a copy of another song, Lady Gaga has a new man... and his name ISN’T Bradley Cooper and the US Women's National Team says goodbye to their iconic coach. Here’s what’s up

This year's Global Citizen's Festival is PACKED. Taking place in NYC the lineup includes Queen and Adam Lambert, Pharrell, Alicia Keys, Carole King, H.E.R., French Montana, OneRepublic, Ben Platt, and Jon Batiste and Stay Human.

Staying in the music news a verdict has FINALLY been reached regarding Katy Perry's Dark Horse and that copyright lawsuit that was filed. A jury decided that Dark Horse DID copy another song released by a Christian rap group 4 years prior to Dark Horse's release. The song is called Joyful Noise and I've posted both so YOU can be the judge.

Lastly, a bittersweet announcement today out of the US Women's National Team. Head coach Jill Ellis has announced she is resigning. She's going out on top though as she's first coach in history to win two Women’s World Cups and currently has an overall record of 102-7-18 not to mention the most recent back-to-back World Cup wins. THANK YOU COACH ELLIS!
