Cassandra "Cassie" Ventura has given birth to her third child with husband Alex Fine.
According to a report TMZ published on Wednesday, May 28, Cassie and Alex welcomed their new baby at a hospital in New York. Despite previous reports of complications, the singer-model and her new child are healthy and recovering. The child arrived a little bit earlier than expected. Ventura was rushed to the hospital yesterday afternoon. She first announced her pregnancy with child No. 3 back in February. She posted adorable photos from her maternity shoot featuring appearances from Alex and their two daughters, Frankie and Sunny.
Ventura gave birth a couple of weeks following her grueling testimony on the witness stand during Sean "Diddy" Combs' criminal trial. The "Me & U" singer testified about the sexual, mental and physical abuse she suffered during her 10-year relationship with Combs. She revealed how Combs recruited her for his freak offs after she signed with Bad Boy Records in 2005. She told the court how she willingly participated in her first freak off with Combs and a male escort, but was eventually forced to perform and coordinate the sex parties for years.
The singer also explained that Combs would beat her if she declined to follow his instructions and took drugs and alcohol to disassociate from the traumatic experience. She also testified about her relationship with Kid Cudi during her break from Combs. While on the stand, Ventura shared how furious Combs was when he found out about their relationship and threatened to harm them if they continued. Cudi corroborated her story and so did Combs' former assistant Capricorn Clark, who also accused Combs of threatening all their lives.
It's been a hard year for Cassie, but thankfully, it'll end on a high note thanks to her brand-new baby. Congratulations to Cassie and Alex!
